The brush collection will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED due to the over abundance of non-residents dumping and the amount of trash that is being dumped on the pile!  Please check back here for updates on future collection days.

We have available recycling trailer located in the alley behind 2520 S. 70th Street.  That location is available to recycle paper, plastic, aluminum cans. WE NO LONGER TAKE GLASS FOR RECYCLE. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR GLASS AT THIS LOCATION! If the trailer is not there that means it has been picked up to unload, it will return when empty.  Macon County Solid Waste is the sponsor of this service.

PLEASE NOTE:  With Winter months and Christmas quickly approaching, the Macon County Environmental Management Team wanted to send a friendly reminder to please make sure the cardboard boxes that are to be recycled are broken down before they are placed in the recycling trailer.  This will allow for more boxes to fit in the trailer and make it easier to empty the trailer on pick up days.  Thank you!
